Following a hand where Ben Hoy made an incorrect call against Uri Reichenstein's 1,075,000 river bet to drop a chunk of chips, he was quickly involved in another pot against Joseph Carden.
The flop read 8♠K♥6♦. From the cutoff, Hoy bet 300,000 and Carden called in the big blind. The turn was the J♦ Both players checked to the river which came the 2♣. Carden led for 700,000 and Hoy called after about a minute of thinking. Carden tabled the K♣10♥ for top pair and the winner.
The next hand, action was on the turn on a board reading 6♦9♥J♦3♣. Hoy bet 300,000. Reichenstein was on the button and raised to 775,000 which removed Hoy from the action as he dropped another pot in the series of three lost hands.
