Grujic Puts Costa to The test

Action was picked up on the turn between the two blinds, with 450,000 in the pot on a board showing K♣3♥Q♦3♦.

Silvio Costa check-called a bet of 200,000 from Marko Grujic to see a river.

The river was the 4♥ and after Costa checked, Grujic bet all in for the last 345,000 of Costa's stack. After sitting in the tank, Costa found a fold, to give the sizable pot to Grujic.

Minh Nguyen managed to triple up once from an extreme short stack of just over two big blinds. He soon went all in again, this time from middle position for 205,000 chips. Gianluca Cedolia was on the button on an also fairly short stack, and he reraised all in. Everyone else folded and Nguyen was at risk.

The turn was the 8♥. Grujic bet 300,000 from the cutoff. Hoy was in middle position. He took his time before he decided to fold and Hoy took down a nice pot as his stack continues to grow.

Uri Reichenstein bet 500,000, which was for the vast majority of Oleksii Mezkenkov's stack who went into the tank. Eventually the clock had to be called and Mezhenkov got rid of his cards before the countdown began.

Kristofer Kneale raised all in for 375,000 from early position, and Silvio Costa made the call on the button. Action folded around, leaving the two players heads up, with Kneale at risk.

Costa was poised for the elimination with his pocket nines, against the one over card for Kneale. The flop came 5♥3♠K♣ giving Kneale a wheel draw for extra outs in the form of a deuce. The turn was no help as the Q♦ hit the felt, but the A♠ on the river gave Kneale the best hand with his pair of aces.

Costa was left with just 25,000 chips after the hand and was eliminated a few hands later.
