Ashish Gupta raised from the cutoff, Warwick Mirzikinian called from the small blind, Adam Friedman three-bet all-in from the big blind, and both players called.

All players drew two. Mirzikinian check-called a bet from Gupta.

On the second draw, Mirzikinian took one, Friedman took two, and Gupta took one. The action went check-check.

Mirzikinian drew one, Friedman drew two, and Gupta stood pat on the final draw. The action checked around.

Gupta revealed a made 8x7x6x5x3x, Mirzikinian made Jx9x8x6x5x, and Friedman mucked as he was eliminated in 12th place.

Ben Yu completed and Adam Friedman raised. Both bumped fists and Yu joked "it's probably me" before Ashish Gupta also came along. Yu called all-in for 90,000 and added "now it might be you" to Friedman, who had a shorter stack behind.

Friedman bet fourth and fifth street with Gupta calling and was they got it in after sixth with Friedman at risk for the last 135,000.

Yu had a pair of nines and didn't improve while Friedman had the high pot with queens up by then. Gupta needed a seven or eight to scoop but only hit the low. Yu's short stack was chopped up and he was eliminated in 13th place for $11,120.

Bohlman Wins a Big Pot Against Yu

Bradley Jansen raised to 60,000 and was called by Ben Yu on the button as well as Scott Bohlman in the big blind. Each of them drew one and Bohlman as well as Jansen opted to check. Yu made it 150,000 to go only for Bohlman to raise to 500,000.

Jansen checked his stack carefully and reluctantly folded while Yu eventually called. Bohlman showed the 7x5x4x3x2x and claimed the pot.

"I broke up a big hand," he said after the hand was over.

Gluszko bet on fourth and Hui called. The rest of Hui's chips found their way into the middle on fifth.

Both players had a pair of sixes in the hole, but Gluszko had the ace kicker and it held as neither player made a low and Hui was eliminated in 14th place.

On sixth street Rhodes checked-called the bet from Gluszko.

On seventh street, Rhodes again check-called the bet from Gluszko, putting him all in for his last 25,000 chips.

When the cards were flipped over, it was Gluszko with the best hand, 10-6-3-2-A, eliminating Rhodes.

Star-Studded Cast Returns to Day 3 of 9-Game Mix

The 2024 WSOP Event #53: $3,000 9-Game Mix saw an initial field of 379 take their seats in the hope to claim the bracelet. This created a prize pool of $1,011,930 to be divided between 57 players. From this starting field two days ago, to just sixteen survivors today.

Ashish Gupta comes in with the massive chip lead of 2,629,000 and will be looking to claim his first WSOP bracelet along with the $215,982 up top. Rounding out the podium are five-time WSOP bracelet winner Adam Friedman (1,814,000) and WSOP bracelet winner Scott Bohlman (1,538,000). The inaugural champion Nicholas Julia (809,000) is still in and will look to reclaim his title.

Many bracelet winners made their way through like Yuri Dzivielevski (1,361,000), Richard Ashby (750,000), Phil Hui (700,000), Ben Yu (569,000), Koray Aldemir (552,000), John Esposito (550,000), and Joseph Couden (332,000). Each one of them looking to add another bracelet to their decorated resumes.

The remaining players will return Saturday, June 22, at 1 p.m. local time for Day 3. Limits resume in Level 23 and will continue to increase at 60-minute intervals.
