Davies Doubles Through Jaffe
Level 7
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Seth Davies and Jonathan Jaffe were heads-up on a flop of 8♥4♣6♣. Davies was in the small blind and check-called a 120,000 bet from Jaffe, who was in the big blind.
The 4♠ came on the turn and Davies checked once more. Jaffe bet enough to put Davies all in for his last 330,000 and Davies quickly called to put himself at risk.
Seth Davies: 9♦4♦
Jonathan Jaffe: 10♠8♦
Davies had turned trips and was an overwhelming favorite to double up.
The 9♠ river needlessly improved Davies to a full house and he doubled through Jaffe.
