Kicker Over Kicker
Level 1
: Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
The turn on the board A♣6♠7♦A♦ was seen by three players. The player on the button bet 500 and Shawn Beaupre raised to 1,500 from the big blind. Matias Gabrenja was in the hijack and called. The button folded.
On the river, which was the K♠, Beaupre again made it 1,500, and Gabrenja called. Beaupre turned over A♠5♣ for trips, but Gabrenja had A♥9♣ and was just a tad better with the nine kicker.
