Nuez Makes a Heroic Call

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Guillermo Nuez just approached us to share a hand he just played.

There was a raise from under the gun to 1,200 and a three-bet to 3,600 the player in the next position. Nuez then cold four-bet to 8,800 from the hijack. The initial raiser folded but the lady who three-bet made the call.

Nuez's opponent led out for 4,500 on the 2x2x5 flop and Nuez made the call.

The 8 turn brought another lead of 6,500 from the early position player. Nuez tanked for a few moments before calling again.

The river brought a 5x and the lady in early position moved all in for Nuez's remaining stack of about 21,000. Nuez again thought for a few moments before making the call for his tournament life.

Nuez's opponent showed 64 for just six-high. Nuez showed AK for ace-high himself. His call down over three streets with just ace-high left Nuez shaking and with over 90,000 chips.
