An extremely busy day at the 2024 World Series of Poker includes the final six players battling for WSOP glory in Event #63: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw. Action resumes at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas at 1 p.m. local time, where the final six competitors will take their seats to battle for the top prize of $123,314.
Leading the way is Michel Leibgorin, who will carry an impressive 67 big blinds into play under the lights of the final table. The Frenchman will add another significant score to his poker resume, which already includes almost $2,000,000 in live earnings. Leibgorin will be looking to secure his first gold bracelet, something the two shortest stacks on Day 3 know a little about.
Ali Eslami and Owais Ahmed will take their seats sitting fifth and sixth in chips, but both have the experience of earning a WSOP title and will be seeking a second one today.

Eslami won his title in 2022, taking down Event #36: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $135,260. Ahmed claimed his back in 2011 in Event #47: $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better to earn $255,959.
Aside from the chip leader Leibgorin, the champion short stacks will need to outlast three other players in order to return to the WSOP winner's circle. Veterans Charles Tucker and David Funkhouser remain solidly in contention, while Tzu Peng Wang sits slightly ahead of Eslami entering the final day of action.

Day 3 will begin at 1 p.m. on Level 26, as players will see blinds of 30,000/60,000 and a 90,000 big blind ante. Action will continue with 60-minute levels, with 15-minute breaks scheduled after every two hours of play. All six players have locked up at least $19,087.

Ali Eslami opened to 150,000 from under the gun and Michel Leibgorin defended his big blind.
Leibgorin drew two while Eslami took a moment before sliding out a single discard.
Leibgorin checked to Eslami, who fired a bet of 200,000. That was good enough to take down the opening pot, as Leibgorin mucked.

After getting a virtual all in through on the previous hand, Owais Ahmed raised to 530,000 from under the gun leaving just 60,000 behind. Michel Leibgorin made the call on the button while the rest of the table folded.
Both players drew one, with Ahmed committing the rest of his stack. Leibgorin made the call and the hands were revealed.
Ahmed tabled 10x9x8x4x3x for a ten-nine. while Leibgorin showed 7x5x4x2x2x for a pair of deuces.

Ali Eslami raised to 150,000 from under the gun and found a call from Charles Tucker on his immediate left. Michel Leibgorin also made the call in the big blind and asked for one card before checking in the dark.
Eslami took one, while Tucker also asked for a single card. Eslami continued with a bet of 500,000, resulting in a call from Tucker and a quick fold from Leibgorin.
Eslami showed down his 8x7x5x4x3x, claiming another pot as Tucker folded.

All other players got out of the way except Ahmed, who called off with his stack of 1,180,000 to put himself at risk.
Ahmed stood pat while Funkhouser drew one.
