The 2024 World Series of Poker at the Horse and Paris Las Vegas continues with Day 2 of Event #65: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold'em starting at 12 p.m. local time.

Day 1 attracted a total of 680 entries generating a total prize pool of $3,128,000, of which, $573,876 and a gold WSOP bracelet will be set aside for the eventual winner. However, with 161 players progressing to Day 2 and only 102 spots securing a minimum cash of $10,000, players will first have to navigate a tricky bubble before they can get carried away with the thought of a six-figure score.

Heading into proceedings in pole position is Angela Jordison who managed to accumulate a massive stack of 707,000. Jordison is the only player in the field to have eclipsed the seven-hundred thousand chip mark and is in good stead to hunt for a career-first WSOP win. Jordison came close to bracelet glory in 2022, finishing third in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout event, which earned her a career-best $151,544.

The road isn’t clear yet for Jordison as the field still boasts some of the wisest and most experienced players in the game. Amongst those to progress to Day 2 include two-time bracelet winner and main event finalist Cliff Josephy, as well as four-time bracelet winner Mike Matusow, who bagged stacks of 349,000 and 253,000, respectively.

The Hall of Fame's very own Eli Elezra and John Juanda, with a combined total of ten bracelets between them, will also be looking to add a win in this inaugural World Series event to their already historic poker careers.

Day 2 gets underway at noon local time on June 27, with blinds starting at 4,000/8,000 with a 8,000 big blind ante. Players will endure ten more hour-long levels before play is concluded and the remaining survivors return for Day 3.

A player in early position raised, Arnie Friedman called in the cutoff and Judith Bielan three-bet to 60,000 from the button, the original raiser folded and Friedman clicked it back to 126,000. Bielan thought for some time before five-bet jamming, only to be met by a snap-call.
