Schwartz Picks off Garza in a Battle of the Blinds

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The pot stood at 23,000 with two players looking at a board of 94AQ.

Lou Garza, in the small blind, bet out 12,000 and Noah Schwartz made the call, from the big blind.

The 7 river saw Garza bet the size of the pot, wagering 48,000. Schwartz looked pained by his decision before making the call. Garza quickly flashed his hand, which was all Schwartz need to see to table AA97 for a set of aces, winning this pot.

Habegger Drills the Turn to Send Haxton Out and Leave Arieh Short

Level 6 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Fernando Habegger
Fernando Habegger

Fernando Habegger had a pot-sized raise of 50,400 in front of him preflop from the hijack. He was called by David Benyamine in the cutoff, Isaac Haxton in early position, and Josh Arieh in middle position.

"Pick me!" Arieh said before the flop came.

The dealer brought 294 and the action checked to Habegger, who went all in for about 185,000. Benyamine folded, Haxton called all in, and Arieh called to put both players at risk.

Fernando Habegger: AA73All in
Josh Arieh: J998

The dealer had picked Arieh, who held the lead with a set of nines.

However, the A3 runout improved Habegger to a set of aces, and he scored the massive pot to eliminate Haxton.

Arieh Shows Down Trips

Level 6 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

With three players seeing a board reading QJ4, a player in the big blind checked, a player in the hijack checked behind, and Josh Arieh bet 10,000 from the button. The big blind called while the hijack got out of the way.

The big blind check-called another bet from Arieh on the 4 turn, this time for 22,000.

Both players checked the Q river. The big blind flashed KK for kings up, but Arieh turned over A984 for trip fours, and the big blind mucked.

Weisman Dusts Off a Bullet; Yamron Stays Alive

Level 6 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Dylan Weisman
Dylan Weisman

Bruce Yamron, Quan Zhou, and Jonas Kronwitter had all limped in before Dylan Weisman made it 10,400 from the button. The big blind cold-called, Yamron & Zhou called, and Kronwitter made it 20,000 from the hijack. Weisman then shoved all in for 43,900, which got the big blind to fold. Yamron called off his stack of around 22,000, Zhou folded, and Kronwitter made the call, putting two players at risk.

Dylan Weisman: JJ55 All in
Jonas Kronwitter: KKJ2

Yamron was contesting the main pot and would almost quintuple up if he could find a way to win the hand. Weisman and Kronwitter also had a side pot between them, and the former needed to win if he wanted to remain in the tournament.

The runout of 237A10 wasn't kind to Weisman, as his hand didn't improve, which meant the side pot went Kronwitter's way. However, Yamron claimed the main pot, hitting two pair and keeping his tournament life alive.
