With around 400,000 chips in the pot, Gabriel Andrade had his last 100,000 in against Tom Dwan on a board of 9♥9♠J♦. The floor were waiting for other tables to finish their action and once they did, the dealer was given the nod to run the board.
Gabriel Andrade: A♣A♠K♥Q♠
Tom Dwan: A♦J♥10♠2♣
Andrade was well ahead with his aces but his delight soon turned to despair when the J♠ fell on the turn, which improved Dwan to trips. Only an ace on the river would prevent Andrade from being the bubble boy but the 6♣ wasn't what he needed.
On the tail end of yet another duel between David Eldridge and Eelis Pärssinen, the board showed Q♥8♣7♥8♥10♠. Pärssinen bet 165,000 from under the gun, and Eldridge reluctantly called from two seats over after and then mucked when he was shown the J♥9♥4♠3♣ for a jack-high flush.
Max Lehmanski and Matthew Kolibas were heads-up on a flop of 3♥8♠J♦. Kolibas checked from the small blind and Lehmanski checked behind from middle position.
Kolibas bet 160,000 after the 9♦ turn came on the turn and Lehmanski called.
The 10♠ completed the board and Kolibas check-called a 200,000 bet from Lehmanski, who tabled A♦K♣Q♦10♥ for the nuts to take down the pot.
Joni Jouhkimainen opened to 65,000 from middle position and both Yang Wang & Anuj [Removed:550] called from the blinds.
All three players decided to check it down to showdown where Wang raked the pot with A♠10♠10♦8♠ for a set.
Marcello Del Grosso had 210,000 chips committed to the pot from the button and Stephen Chidwick had shoved for 540,000 from the under-the-gun position. Grosso clearly had a tough decision but eventually elected to fold.
Chidwick showed aces to the table and Grosso tabled his ace-king-queen.
When the tournament director told the dealers to stop the action after their current hand, several tables were still involved in action and one of them brought with it a heads-up duel between Tyler Stafman and Brent Roberts.
On the A♦3♠2♦4♦ turn, Stafman bet 200,000 for Roberts to call and the 6♦ fell on the river. Stafman bet 680,000 and Roberts reluctantly called. He was shown the K♦9♥6♥5♦ by Stafman, the effective nuts in the hand, and briefly showed his J♣9♦3♦2♣ before heading to the rail.
There are now 73 players remaining and the stone bubble has been reached.
Maxi Lehmanski was all-in before the flop with the A♦A♣K♣7♠ and up against Matthew Kolibas with the K♦J♦9♠8♥.
The A♥9♥3♠7♥9♦ board gave Lehmanski a full house for the double two spots away from the bubble.
On a flop of 3♥5♠A♠, Matthew Kolibas checked to Tom-Aksel Bedell, who bet 40,000. Kolibas called.
Both checked the Q♥ turn to see the 5♥ land on the river. Kolibas then led out for 110,000, and Bedell took his time before making the fold.
With 74 players remaining and 72 making the money, the tournament director has just announced that hand-for-hand play will commence until the money bubble has burst.
Everyone who survives the money bubble will take home at least $50,211 for their efforts.
