Michael Noori: XxXx/A67
Dario Alioto: XxXx/275
Hisashi Yamanouchi: XxXx/292 - folded on fifth street

Michael Noori completed, Dario Alioto raised, and Hisashi Yamanouchi called. Noori then reraised all in and both Alioto and Yamanouchi called.

Alioto bet on fourth street and Yamanouchi called to create a side pot. Alioto bet again on fifth, and this time Yamanouchi folded.

Noori had gone over to the rail and had to be called back to the table to turn over his cards. Alioto finished with AQKQ for a pair of queens, while Noori had 910 showing by seventh.

He peeled the 8 to make a straight as he earned a triple up.

"I wasn't even paying attention to the runout," Noori admitted.

"Pay attention, you goof. It's only the final two tables of a 10K. There's a lot of skill in sweating cards," Jake Schwartz told him.

Todd Ivens: XxXx/6746/Xx

"There's no pay jump. Don't you think Norman Chad would be stalling for that extra $1K," Todd Brunson joked at the start of the day.

"Todd, if your best cash was $800, wouldn't you be stalling too?" Brad Ruben added.

"There has to be some tournament floor against that," Chad said, jokingly calling the floor over.

While this teasing of Chad was going on, Todd Ivens bet on fourth street and Naoya Kihara raised. Chad called, as did Ivens.

Ivens bet on fifth street and only Kihara called. Ivens then bet on sixth and Kihara called, then Kihara committed his last chips on seventh.

Ivens showed AK8 for a flush and a low and Kihara mucked Q88 as he became the first casualty of the day.

Day 3 of Event #74: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship gets started at 1 p.m. with 18 players remaining, all vying for their share of the $1,533,100 prize pool and ultimately for the $376,476 top prize.

Almost half the remaining field is made up of bracelet winners, with eight of the 18 having conquered that feat before. Interestingly. out of those eight only one player has multiple bracelets, Brad Ruben, who has four to his name. He begins the day as the fifth-largest stack in his quest for bracelet #5.

The other bracelet winners still in have just one, including Russian Andrey Zhigalov who starts the day second in chips, Todd Brunson, who is fourth to start the day and is looking to add a bracelet to accompany his win from 2005, and Arash Ghaneian who won his lone bracelet back in 2015 in a $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event.

Jake Schwartz and Eric Wasserson are two of the most accomplished players who do not have bracelet wins and they are both in prime shape to make a run at winning one today.

Then there is Norman Chad, who every poker fan knows as the voice of the game, who often talks about his love of every poker variant. He is proving it here in this tournament with a deep run. If Chad can finish eighth or better, he will secure the best cash of his WSOP career, eclipsing his previous best which was a sixth place finish in a 2012 Omaha/Stud Hi-Lo event. He also has a tenth place finish in this very event from 2014.
