Sternheimer Makes a Flush

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Five players limped in to see the KQ7 flop, and the action quickly checked around to see the 9 on the turn.

Rostyslav Sabishchenko checked to Philip Sternheimer who fired 6,000, forcing Nacho Barbero, the button and Sabishchenko to fold while the cutoff made the call.

When the 9 landed on the river, Sternheimer fired another bet of 8,000 into the middle. The cutoff tanked for about two minutes before deciding on a call.

"How high is your flush?" asked Sternheimer. "I have a flush."

Sternheimer's opponent was silent, and Sternheimer tossed his A986 face up to earn the pot.
