Richard Sperberg bet 2,000, Georgios Soritopoulos called and Sanford got out of the way. The river was the A♥, Sperberg fired 4,500 and Sotiropoulos folded to send Sperberg the pot.
Sanford is fortunate be playing in this main event as he just finished chemotherapy for stage 4 cancer and is currently playing against doctors wishes. But he said that he can not guarantee he will ever have another chance to play this tournament, which has been a bucket list for him for many years so he is making the most of the time he has now.
