Mikiyo Aoki was down to a few chips early in the day but has since recovered well. She most recently eliminated an opponent on a board of 10xKx6xKxAx when she had the A♣8♣ and her opponent had the J♥8♦.
Her stack now rests above the average.
The pot stood at approximately 38,000 with three players looking at a flop of J♥9♣4♣. All three players checked through to the 2♦ on the turn.
Shuyang Han, in the big blind, took the lead for 12,000. The under-the-gun player folded and Ryan Riess, on the button, made the call.
The K♦ river saw Han size up, betting out for 31,000, sending Riess deep into the tank. Riess finally concluded on a call and Han tabled 8♠3♠. Reiss rolled over J♣10♣ for second pair, winning him this pot.
Alessandro Pichierri raised to 8,000 in early position before Hans Bosman three-bet to 26,000 in the cutoff. Pichierri then jammed all in for 41,000 and Bosman quickly called.
Alessandro Pichierri: A♠A♣
Hans Bosman: Q♠Q♦
Pichierri made a set on the 7♦A♥5♠J♠9♦ board to double up and leave Bosman with roughly ten big blinds.
