Somerville Continues to Climb

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jason Somerville was heads-up from middle position against a player on the button on a completed board of 3Q7410 with a large pot already in the middle.

Somerville checked to his opponent, who bet 58,000. Somerville then check-raised to 200,000, sending his opponent deep into the tank.

The button eventually thought better of it and folded and Somerville dragged the nice pot without showing.

Vazquez Vanquishes Vierling

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Christoph Csik made it 12,000 from middle position. On his direct left, Jessica Vierling three-bet to 40,000. Luis Vazquez called in the hijack and Csik also called to make it three-way to the flop.

The flop came J97. Vierling jammed all in, Vazquez called and Csik got out of the way.

Jessica Vierling: QQ All in
Luis Vazquez: AQ

Vierling would need to fade clubs but she would be unable to do so as the 2 binked off instantly on the turn. The river was the 8 as a formality.

Vierling put her hands on her head in disappointment, clearly crushed that her main event dream had been dashed and she walked away from the tables.

With less than 100 players to go before the money would be reached, Noah Boeken three-bet a raise of 12,000 from the player under the gun to 40,000 in the small blind.

His opponent called and also called when the 2104 saw Boeken bet 31,000 chips. Boeken then sized up to 68,000 on the 5 turn and was called again.

Finally, Boeken fired 117,000 on the J river and was looked up for the last time. Boeken showed AA for a pair of aces, and his opponent flung his cards into the muck.

Allen Gets No Action With Turned Set

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With around 40,000 chips in the pot on a board of A8107, Joseph Mcmahon bet 15,000 on the turn and Quan Zhou made the call. Bryan Allen then put in a raise to 75,000, which got Mcmahon thinking. After some time, Mcmahon elected to fold, and Zhou followed suit which meant Allen claimed another pot as the money bubble edges closer.

As Allen was raking the pot, he tabled 77 for a turned set.
