Yu Takes From Killeen

Kevin Killeen opened to 5,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 13,000 by Xiaotong Yu in the hijack. Action folded back around to Killeen, who called.

The flop came KJ5 and Killeen checked to Yu, who continued for 12,000. Killeen wanted no part of it and laid his hand down — conceding the pot to Yu,

Omuro Runs Kings into Aces

An unfortunate situation occured for Japan's Yurina Omuro after she got her stack of around 75,000 in the middle with a premium hand, but ran into a better one.

Even Omuro's suits were covered and the runout of 69J94 meant she was eliminated in the opening level of Day 3.

Brinkenhoff's Turn Barrel Gets it Done

Nicholas Verderamo opened the action with a raise to 5,500 on the button. Michael Brinkenhoff three-bet to 18,500 from the big blind and Verderamo made the call.

Brinkenhoff continued for 15,000 on 47Q and Verderamo called.

The turn 6 rolled off and Brinkenhoff sized-up to 50,000. Verderamo snap-folded and the pot was pushed in Brinkenhoff's direction.

Joseph Erwin was standing up about to exit as the board displayed what had occurred to send him to the rail.

The board 2x8xQx6x5x. Nacho Barbero held AA and Erwin had the KQ.

Barbero raked in the large pot as several camera crews recorded the hand for Argentine media.

Nam Le opened the action with a raise to 5,500 from the hijack. Jimmy D'Ambrosio three-bet to 18,500 from the big blind and Le came along to see a flop.

The dealer put out 4Q3 and D'Ambrosio fired out 17,000. Le called.

D'Ambrosio checked the A turn over to Le who wagered 36,500. D'Ambrosio made the call.

Le moved all in for 73,000 on the 7 river and D'Ambrosio went into the tank. After a few minutes, D'Ambrosio released his cards back to the dealer, realizing he can find a better spot still to come.

Fast Takes Early Pot

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With around 20,000 already in the pot and the board showing 458A, Dietrich Fast checked to Stephane Revelly, who bet 8,500. Fast took his time before raising to 28,000, which Revelly called after evaluating Fast's stack.

The dealer revealed the 9 on the river, and Fast bet 10,000, which Revelly promptly called. Fast showed 44 for a set of fours, winning the pot before the table broke and the players were moved elsewhere.

Shelton Five-Bet Jams

Mark Taylor opened the action with a raise to 5,000 from early position before Justin Shelton three-bet to 16,000 on the button. Taylor wanted to play for more and bumped it up to 40,000 but was disgusted to see Shelton move all in for 146,500.

After a short tank, Taylor decided against in and mucked his cards, saving himself nearly 100,000 chips.

The player under the gun had gone all in for just 6,500 chips and was looked up by Daniel Negreanu on the button.

Negreanu was rooting for a chop on the 66K board and was elated when his opponent paired up on the 4 turn.

The J then came on the river. "Oh shit," said Negreanu as he raked in the pot and eliminated his opponent.

After the hand, Negreanu and the knocked-out player took a picture together, with the latter leaving in seemingly good spirits.

There were over 100,000 chips in the pot on a board of JAQA when both Bryan Allen & Nicholas Olszewski checked.

The river brought a 2 and Allen fired a big bet of 115,500. After some time contemplating, Olszewski announced a call.

Allen tabled AQ for the nuts, and Olszweski mucked.
