Ronconi Gets Half

Level 2

Omaha Hi-Lo

Action was picked up in a limped pot between four players.

The flop rolled out A83 and Tamon Nakamura bet from the small blind, folding out the big blind, and the player in the hijack raised. Darryl Ronconi on the button called and Nakamura called as well.

On the turn J, action checked to the hijack who bet and both Ronconi and Nakamura called, the same action repeated on the river Q.

The hijack tabled A854 for aces up with an eight-five low, but he found out the bad news quickly as Ronconi tabled AJ93 for aces and jacks, while Nakamura tabled 8543 for an identical eight-five. Ronconi got half while the other two players took a quarter of the pot.

Two Pots in a Row for the Defending Champion

Level 2

Pot-Limit Omaha

Shaun Deeb opened to 700 from the button and Nelio Gatta defended from the big blind.

The flop came QQQ and the big blind check-called a 500 continuation bet from Deeb.

Deeb bet again for 2,200 when checked to on the J river and this time it was enough to force a fold from his opponent.

Pot-Limit Omaha

The next hand saw a player in the hijack open to 700 and receive calls from Deeb in the cutoff, a player in the small blind and Nelio Gatta in the big blind.

The flop came 1047 and the small blind fired a pot-sized bet of 3,000. Gatta and the hijack got out of the way while Deeb made the call.

The two remaining players then checked both the turn and river as the rest of the board ran out 34.

The big blind had flopped top two pair with A1073 but Deeb had made a better two pair on the river with KKJ3 to take the pot.
