Abdul Amer Leads the Remaining 118 Players, Georgios Sotiropoulos and Daniel Idema in Search of a Fourth Bracelet

There's 118 players returning for Day 2 of Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold'Em, all of whom will be looking towards the top prize of $121,074 and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet.

The event saw 429 entries, generating a prize pool of $591,405. Sixty-seven players will make the money, and the minimum cash stands at $3,014.

The player leading the charge when play resumes will be Abdulrahim Amer who will unbag 308,500 to start the day. Followed by Howard Mann with 290,500.

The field includes numerous champions who can challenge Amer, one-time bracelet winners Jason Daly (186,000) and Renan Bruschi (184,000) both have top ten chip stacks, while three-time bracelet winners Georgios Sotiropoulos (132,000) and Daniel Idema (120,000) look to add a fourth bracelet to their collection.

The schedule calls for play to resume at 1:00 p.m. local time on June 1 inside the Horseshoe and Paris Casino Las Vegas. The players are scheduled to play ten hour-long levels on their journey toward the prize money. The Day 2 action starts on Level 16, with blinds at 2,500-5,000 and limits at 5,000-10,000.

Heads up on a turn reading 10A74, James Eng placed a bet and was called by Michael Coombs.

They saw a river 5 and Eng bet again, which Coombs called. Eng tabled A7 and Coombs launched his hand in the much, leaving him with a short stack.

Hand 2:

Coombs took the blinds once and just one shuffle later was facing a raise from Ryan Johnson in early position. Coombs responded with a reraise and Johnson put the rest of his short stack in the middle. Coombs just barely had him covered and made the call.
