Brooks Busts With Top Set

Level 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

John Brooks raised to 26,000 from middle position. He was three-bet to 80,000 by the button before the big blind cold four-bet to 200,000. Brooks shoved for 211,000, which both the button and big blind called.

The three players saw a flop of Q3J. After the button folded to an 80,000 bet, the cards were revealed with Brooks being at risk of elimination.

John Brooks: QQ All in
Big Blind: AK.

Brooks' top set was ahead but his opponent had a lot of outs to take the lead. The 10 on the turn was one of those outs, as the big blind now had a straight. The 9 on the river didn't improve Brooks to a full house and he was set to the rail.
