Rivera’s Pair Good for a Sizeable Pot
Level 2
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Four players saw the flop of 9♥J♦4♦. The middle position player bet 1,000 into 1,600 and Marc Rivera raised to 2,500 in the cutoff. The small blind cold-called, big blind called as well, and middle position decided to fold.
The turn was the 10♣, bringing in possible straights. Rivera continued for 6,000 and got a call from the small blind. The big blind thought for a while and then folded.
The river A♥ got checked by both remaining players. Rivera showed Q♣J♥ and his opponent showed he got out-kicked with Q♠10♠.
