Ren Lin Out in Dramatic Fashion Just Three Away From the Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

The action started with an open from the player in the hijack to 10,000. Players folded to Ren Lin in the small blind, and he went all in for 79,000. Leo Fernandez was in the big blind and thought for a long time before re-raising all in. Hijack folded.

Ren Lin: 33All in
Leo Fernandez: A8

Lin was amazed at the action with ace-eight, but that was not the end of the drama and excitement.

The flop came JJJ, giving Lin a full house, while Fernandez had six outs to a better one.

The turn was the 3, changing nothing despite hitting Lin’s pocket pair.

The dealer then revealed the river 8 for the big turnaround, and Lin, who needed a moment to notice what happened, was eliminated. He marveled at the hand but kept up the good mood, wishing his opponent the best of luck before hitting the rail.

Nguyen Finds a Triple Up

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen moved all in for 13,500 from the hijack, the cutoff moved all in for 33,000 and Atanas Kavrakov, in the big blind, went into the tank. With a $2,012 bounty on the line, Kavrakov made the call.

Scotty Nguyen: KJ All in
Cutoff: A8 All in
Atanas Kavrakov: K4

Every player at the table not involved in the hand started to call for a jack to keep both Nguyen and their own bounty interests alive. The J92 flop saw Nguyen take the lead and the table erupted into cheer.

The J river confirmed Nguyen's triple up. The neutral players at the table got up and out of their seats to high-five Nguyen. The 4 river saw Kavrakov win the side pot to ensure he didn't lose any chips during the hand while also eliminating the cutoff.

Plante Wins Hellmuth’s Bounty

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

According to the players, the hand started with a limp by Santiago Plante from the middle position, which was followed by a call from Phil Hellmuth in the hijack. The button also called, as did the small blind. The big blind checked his option.

The flop came QJ5. The small blind checked and the big blind went all in for 7,500 chips. Plante then went over the top, all in for 24,000 chips, and Hellmuth called all in for 20,000 chips. The button and small blind folded.

Big blind: Q7All in
Phil Hellmuth: QJAll in
Santiago Plante: A4

Hellmuth had the best of it on the flop with top two pair; the short-stacked big blind was way behind and needed running sevens, while Plante was very live with the nut flush draw.

The turn 9 still looked like Hellmuth, but the 5 on the river brought in Plante’s flush. Hellmuth took the beat well, wished the table good luck and hit the rail.
