Daniel Kleist, a 38-year-old sales executive from San Diego, California, secured the biggest result of his poker career to date by winning the $200 Daily Deepstack on May 29, part of the ongoing 2025 PokerNews Deepstack Challenge.
The tournament attracted 192 entries and generated a $32,352 prize pool, with 25 players finishing in the money and a $410 min-cash. Kleist earned $6,862 for the victory, which marks just the second recorded live tournament cash of his career, according to The Hendon Mob.
Kleist overcame a final table that included Jack Garrett, Darren Cunningham, and Bahman Ataeianfar, ultimately closing out the win to add his name to the growing list of PokerNews Deepstack Challenge champions.
