PNDC Week 1 Nears Finish With Over $1.47 Million Awarded Across 6,500+ Entries
As the final day of Week 1 in the 2025 PokerNews Deepstack Challenge gets underway on Monday, June 2, the numbers already tell a strong story. Over the first seven days of play, the PNDC has drawn a total of 6,588 entries, generated $1,471,618 in prize pools, and awarded $267,640 to champions across 18 events.
With three buy-in tiers offered daily—$200, $250, and $400—players have flocked to the daily one-day events in droves, and the final tables have been packed with both new faces and returning names.
The largest turnout so far came on Saturday, May 31, with 935 entries in the $250 Daily Deepstack, where Jean Lescadres earned $27,585 for the win. The biggest single payout went to Nicholas Murray, who took home $27,839 after shipping the $400 Deepstack on Sunday, June 1.
Other notable champions include Sinéad Davenport, Juan Sosa, Michael Danley, Koveh Waysei, and Dylan Mendes, while players like James Derosa, Adel Jo, and Xiaoxiao Song continued to make noise across multiple days and events.
