2025 World Series of Poker
Shaun Deeb began his chase for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Player of the Year award on Tuesday. But he still isn't satisfied with the scoring system he believes "punishes" him, and he appears to be less enthusiastic about the start of the Series than in previous years.
The six-time bracelet winner, who spoke to PokerNews on a break, entered Day 1a of Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions. He skipped out on the 25K Fantasy Draft, which took place the same day down the road at Aria on the Las Vegas Strip. Deeb explained he didn't draft a team because "there's just too many teams this year."
Of the 1,329 players who entered Day 1a of Event #1: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Millions, 481 advanced to the dinner break.
Late registration for Day 1a will close shortly after 8 p.m. local time when play resumes, but Days 1b, 1c, 1d, and 1e remain open for new entries.
