Kampen Spikes a Two-Outer to Bust Konakchiev

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Valentino Konakchiev
Valentino Konakchiev

It's a brutal game this poker, as Valentino Konakchiev just found out.

Konakchiev opened to 1,000,000 from early position and Elliott Kampen three-bet the hijack to 2,800,000. When it got back to Konakchiev, he shoved for around 17,000,000, and Kampen quickly called with a covering stack.

Valentino Konakchiev: KK All in
Elliott Kampen: JJ

The pocket kings of Konakchiev were well in the lead, but Kampen made a set on the J87 flop to take the lead. A 2 on the turn put a third heart on board, but it had no relevance as neither player held a heart in their hand.

Konakchiev couldn't find any of the last two kings on the river as the 5 completed the runout, meaning he was sent to the rail as Kampen's stack grew to around 50,000,000!

The Battle of the Benjamins

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Benjamin Eilers raised from the hijack to 1,000,000. Action folded around to Benjamin Olson in the big blind who raised to 3,500,000, Eilers called.

The flop came J86 and Olson bet 5,000,000. Eilers called.

On a 7 turn, Olson sent in his remaining ~14,000,000 and was beaten into the middle by Eilers.

Benjamin Olson: AK
Benjamin Eilers: 66

After an irrelevant 2 river, Olson collected his bounty and massive pot to secure the chip lead.

Nellie Park
Nellie Park

Nellie Park had her stack of around 13,000,000 in the middle and was put at risk by Robert Rothstein.

Nellie Park: JJ All in

Fei Makes a Big Fold Against Allen

Level 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Wesley Fei opened from under the gun to 2,000,000 and Diana Allen called from the hijack. Artem Riabov also came along from the big blind.

The flop came QK5 and after Riabov checked, Fei continued for 2,000,000. Allen then made a quick min-raise to 4,000,000 and Riabov took around a minute before he folded.

Fei had around 11,000,000 behind and was smiling to himself while he decided how to proceed. Eventually, he flashed the K and said that he folded ace-king! Allen responded by showing a 5, but slid the other card into the muck.

"You had a set of fives, easy!" said Fei after Allen flashed the five.

Michael Acevedo
Michael Acevedo

Michael Acevedo raised from under the gun to 2,400,000 and Diana Allen called in the cutoff. Mark Ellerbe shoved from the small blind for 11,250,000 and after some thinking, Acevedo called. Allen folded.

Mark Ellerbe: KQ All in

Wilklow Scores a Huge Double-Up

Level 38 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

A huge hand just propelled Michael Wilklow up the counts.

Weizheng Zhong opened to 2,500,000 and Wilklow had called from the big blind to see a flop of 410A. Wilklow check-called a bet from Zhong to the 6 turn, where again Wilklow checked. Zhong fired out 9,000,000, and Wilklow called.

A 7 completed the runout and Wilklow checked again, then Zhong shoved for around 28,000,000. Wilklow had 21,550,000 behind and needed just a few moments before he tossed in the call, putting his tournament at risk.

Zhong then showed AQ for top pair, but Wilklow had the winner with 107 for two pair and scored a huge double-up.

Weizheng Zhong

Weizheng Zhong, in middle position, took his time to mull over his action before he raised to 7,025,000, leaving one 25,000 chip behind. Both Cameron Blazevich and Michael Wilklow called.

The dealer flopped A7Q. Zhong checked and Blazevich fired 5,000,000, making Wilklow fold. Zhong, holding his last chip, again took his time before he threw it in.

Weizheng Zhong: 109 All in
