All for Bella

Level 32 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

From under the gun, Thomas Savitsky raised to 500,000 which received an all-in shove for around 1,800,000 from the man seated immediately to his left, Joshua Zapalac. Action was folded around and back with Savitsky, he made the call putting Zapalac at risk.

Zapalac stood up and refused to look at the board as it was dealt. He distracted himself by relating to us how his beloved goldfish, Bella, died yesterday. He was interrupted by one of the players, who teasingly shouted as if shocked at the flop which dropped 1068.

Zapalac was forced to look at the board and was relieved that his aces held. Zapalac continued to watch the runout of 42 and scooped the pot after Savitsky counted to match his chips.
