Vandyke Outkicks Antezana
Level 33
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
The hand was ongoing with Edgar Antezana betting 450,000 on a flop of 7♦Q♥8♠ with 650,000 chips already in the pot. Daniel Vandyke, the other player in the hand, called taking both of them to see the next street.
Both players checked down the turn A♥ and the river 9♦. The hands were tabled showing Antezana with 8♣4♥ and Vandyke with 10♦8♦.
Both players hit a pair of eight on the flop and initially Antezana claimed that it should be a split pot until one of the players pointed out that Vandyke's kicker played.
