Han Liu Eliminated in 2nd Place ($90,569)

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 90,000 ante
Han Liu
Han Liu

Han Liu had won a few pots without showdown when he called button Brad Ruben's raise to 180,000 from the big blind. They both took one card, after which Liu led out for 400,000, about a third of his remaining chips.

Ruben then put him all-in for 1,225,000, which sent Liu into the tank.

"Do you really have that good of a hand?" he pondered, mostly to himself. "GG," he eventually stated as he slammed in his last chips.

Ruben turned over 9x7x6x3x2x, which was enough to beat the 10x9x7x6x5x of Liu. The two players shook hands before Liu departed to pick up the cash awarded for his runner-up finish.

Yueqi Zhu
Yueqi Zhu

Yueqi Zhu sat on the button and decided to move his entire stack of 920,000 into the middle. Han Liu gave it some thought in the small blind but ended up folding. Brad Ruben was in the big blind and made a quick call, however.

Ruben stood pat, which sent Zhu into a small tank. Eventually, he opted to draw two cards, and the holdings were tabled.

Yueqi Zhu: 6x4x2x All in
Brad Ruben: 10x8x7x5x2x

Zhu quickly turned over Jx3x for a jack-low, unable to beat the ten-low of Ruben. He was eliminated in third place, setting up the heads up match between Liu and Ruben.

Weng was bluffing with 7x7x6x5x2x while Zhu had 8x6x5x4x3x to eliminate Weng.

It folded to Brian Yoon in the small blind, who put his 370,000 at risk. Jun Weng made a quick call in the big blind, after which each player drew one card.

Brian Yoon: 10x7x6x5x All in
Jun Weng: 9x6x4x3x

Weng quickly turned over a 5x to make a nine-low and leave Yoon drawing dead. Yoon's drawn 4x did not make a difference as he became the first departure on Day 3.

Han Liu opened to 85,000 from the button and received calls from Brad Ruben in the small blind and Brian Yoon in the big blind. All three players drew one.

After the draw Ruben checked and Yoon bet 200,000, leaving 375,000 behind. Liu called and Ruben check-raised to 475,000. Yoon folded and Liu went into the tank for about two minutes before flicking in a call.

Ruben turned over ninety-six with 9x6x4x3x2x to take down a sizable pot and extend his lead over the rest of the field.
