Nguyen Catches Set on the Flop

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Simon Britton limped from the small blind and got a raise from big blind Toan Nguyen to 100,000. With only 400,000 behind, Britton jammed all-in. After asking for a count, Nguyen made the call putting Britton at risk.

Simon Britton : 55 All in
Toan Nguyen: 44

Nguyen groaned in frustration when he saw Britton's hand which was ahead. That changed the moment the dealer flipped over J410 giving Nguyen a set and prompting Britton to start packing his things expecting the result of the hand.

The dealer completed the board with an 8 turn and 2 river. Britton left as the dealer shipped the chips towards Nguyen's direction.

With roughly 135,000 already in the pot and the flop showing K10J, Thomas Boivin checked from the big blind to Peter Park, who continued for 45,000. Boivin made the call.

Park revealed KJ for top two pair, but Boivin tabled Q9 for a flopped straight that held up. With that, Boivin scooped a massive pot, while Park made his exit.
