Fani Taken Out by Ford
Level 24
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Joe Ford raised to 80,000 from the button, and Rod Fani called from the big blind.
The flop came 4♣9♠10♦ and Fani led out for 280,000, which Ford called. The turn brought the 9♣, and Fani moved all in. Ford called without too much thought.
Rod Fani: A♣K♦Q♣J♦
Joe Ford: A♦J♣10♣2♥
Fani had an open-ended straight draw and nut-flush draw, and needed to hit to stay alive. Ford had two pair and a lesser flush draw. The river bricked out, and Fani was eliminated.
