Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Some of poker's superstars will be in action today at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas because Event #18: $10,000 Dealers Choice Championship (6-Handed) gets underway at 2:00 p.m. local time. Mixed game events always attract a stellar crowd, but the $10,000 Dealers Choice is something else.

Whichever icons and legends buy into this event, they will start their quest for glory with 60,000 chips and hope to build that stack throughout three days of intense poker action. Levels 1-6 last for 40 minutes before increasing to 60 minutes between Levels 7-15. Anyone reaching Level 16 and beyond will play to a 90-minute clock.

The plan for Day 1 is to battle through 10 levels, with 15-minute breaks after every two hours of play. No dinner break is scheduled. Day 2 starts at 2:00 p.m. with eight levels planned. Breaks on Day 2 are after Levels 11, 13, 16, and 17, with a 60-minute dinner break pencilled in after Level 15 (~6:30 p.m.). Day 3's restart time is still to be decided, but a champion will be crowned on the third and final day.

Robert Mizrachi is this tournament's reigning champion after he claimed the fifth WSOP bracelet of his career at the 2024 WSOP. Mizrachi topped a field of 141 players and walked away with $333,045 of the $1,311,300 prize pool. The victory tied Mizrachi with his brother, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, regarding bracelets won.

Mizrachi told PokerNews he felt he was on top of his game following his victory and that he prefers pot-limit games during these types of events.

"I like Pot Limit [games] because you can control the pot against a weaker player. He can't really put pressure on you pre-flop, so you can see more flops, and you can really control things post-flop."
