Cross Finds Quick Double

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Benjamin Cross did not have to wait long to double his stack on Day 2 of action. The table folded around to Cross, who jammed from late position.

Cross was called by Xufang Yang from the big blind, creating a showdown.

Benjamin Cross: 77All in
Xufang Yang: A6

Cross slammed a set on the flop of 37K, giving Yang slim odds to score the knockout. The 2 turn and 8 river shut the door on the hand.

Colquhuon Flops Two Pair, Eliminates Hodge

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Play was underway with three players, Shaun Colquhuon in early position, Pedro Green in middle, and Stephen Hodge in late, in the hand on a flop of 7105 with 55,000 chips in the middle.

Colquhuon fired an almost pot-sized bet of 50,000, sending Green to the tank. After a few seconds of consideration, he threw his hand to the muck. Hodge, who was covered by Colquhuon's bet, was forced all in.

Stephen Hodge: KQ All in
Shaun Colquhuon: A10

Upon seeing the hands tabled, Hodge stood up, ready to leave, holding only king-high against Colquhuon's flopped top pair. The dealer completed the board with the runout of 2A improving Colquhuon's hand to two pair and sending Hodge to the rail.

Phago Destroys Gallardo's Ladies

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Myles Phago
Myles Phago

With Myles Phago forced all-in from the big blind, Adrian Gallardo shoved from the hijack. Everyone else folded, and the cards were flipped over.

Myles Phago: 102 All in
Adrian Gallardo: QQ

Gallardo was far ahead with pocket queens, and Phago was looking for a miracle runout to keep his bracelet dreams alive.

The flop came 9109 to give Phago some hope with a pair of tens. The dealer burned a card and then put out the 10 on the turn, propelling Phago into the lead with a full house (tens full of nines). The river was the 2, and the pot was sent over to Phago.

Xufang Yang tanked in the big blind while he mulled over his decision. Yang settled on committing the rest of his 42,000 into the middle. Grasse came along for 45,000, creating a three-way pot heading to the flop.

Yeung and Grasse checked down each street on a board of 3J572.

Xufang Yang: 108All in
