Narciso Holds With Bullets; Sanchez Busts

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Frederick Narciso
Frederick Narciso

Frederick Narciso made it 600 to go from the cutoff with Stephen Sanchez calling from the small blind, before Claudio Elizalde squeezed to 2,300 from the big blind. Narciso and Sanchez called.

After the dealer spread out a flop of J46, Sanchez shoved his short stack into the middle for around the size of the pot, and Elizalde moved all in over the top. Narciso called for his remaining chips and the cards were turned over with Elizalde having the chance to bust two players.

Stephen Sanchez: KJ All in
Frederick Narciso: AA All in
Claudio Elizalde: QQ

Sanchez had top pair, Elizalde had an overpair, but Narciso was ahead with pocket aces. The rest of the board ran out 84, keeping Narciso's aces ahead until the end. Sanchez was out, and Elizalde was left with around 5,000.

Tricky Turn Decision

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Shane Patreau opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 800. After two calls from middle position from both Jason Gabriel and Mark Williams, a call from Brandan Brewer on the button, and Chester Mead from the small blind, Billy Johnson decided on a re-raise to 2,800 from the big blind. Patreau, Brewer, and Mead all elected to call.

Four players saw a flop of J83.

A check from Mead was followed by a bet of 3,500 from Johnson. Patreau re-raised to 7,700. Action folded around to Johnson who elected to call.

A 2 fell on the turn, bringing a potential flush, and Johnson checked. Patreau pushed every one of his remaining 19,500 chips into the middle, and Johnson entered the tank.

After some thought, Johnson decided QQ was not good enough, and open-mucked his hand. Patreau showed the critical A.

Sarabia Hits the Rail

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Eduardo Sarabia made it 1,200 to go from the hijack with roughly 7,500 remaining in his stack. After it folded around to Joshua Calderon in the big blind, he shoved to put Sarabia all in. Sarabia instantly called.

Eduardo Sarabia: 88 All in
Joshua Calderon: 1010

Sarabia was likely to be headed to the rail as he needed a date with an eight to stay alive. However, the board ran out K344A to give Calderon the winner with a flush, and Sarabia was out.

Heads-up to a turn on a board of 3758, with around 5,000 in the middle, Lawrence Letourneau checked out of the big blind and Eric Zavodnik bet 2,800 from the cutoff. Letourneau did some inventory and then made the call.
