Derosa Sends Two Players Home

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A three-way all-in just happened between James Derosa, Jon Nakatani, and Red Banks. Derosa had the covering stack, so he had the chance to bust two players.

Red Banks: AK All in
Jon Nakatani: JJ All in
James Derosa: AA

Derosa started with the nuts holding pocket aces and needed to avoid an unfortunate runout to win the pot. The board ran out 937910, which was clean for Derosa's aces. Derosa moved up to around 230,000, while Nakatani and Banks were out.

Koldoff Shoves Big with Rockets

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Donovan Koldoff opened to 6,500 from middle position and picked up two callers: Justin Kalvari and James Miao, both on the button.

Seemingly frustrated, Koldoff suddenly grabbed a tower of 5,000 chips — worth roughly 90,000 — and shoved it into the middle of the table. Kalvari quickly got out of the way, but Miao went into the tank, prompting a visibly anxious reaction from Koldoff.

After a long pause, Miao eventually folded, and Koldoff exhaled in relief before turning over AA — the rockets.

Smooth Sailing for Gallardo

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Cameron Hubert opened the action with a raise to 10,000 from early position. Adrian Gallardo elected to call from middle position, along with Peter Lynn from the cutoff.

These three players saw a flop of J54. Hubert, the initial raiser, decided to check it over Gallardo. Gallardo threw 12,000 into the middle, Lynn obliged, and Hubert mucked.

On a 6 turn, Gallardo continued to fire, making a bet of 20,000. Lynn decided the heat was too much, and released.

Barring a breakdown, Gallardo has set himself up for a prime position on day two of this tournament with a massive chip stack!

Snap Call Seals It — Buranov Out, Wells Collects

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With action folded to her, Danel Morez raised to 12,000 from the small blind after a limp from Jimmy Wells under the gun. Both Alexander Buranov in the big blind and Wells made the call.

The flop came 7Q5, and after Morez checked, Buranov immediately jammed all-in for about 25,000. Before his chips even hit the felt, Wells tossed in a single chip to call, prompting the dealer to confirm, “Is that a call?” With the action back on her, Morez looked to her left at both players before eventually folding.

Alexander Buranov: 44 All in
Jimmy Wells: AQ

Wells was ahead with top pair, and the runout J8 didn’t change a thing.

Buranov hit the rail as Wells pulled in the pot.

Evangeline Ayed made it 5,000 to go from under the gun and Chad Holloway defended out of the big blind.

Holloway checked the K710 flop and Ayed put out a continuation-bet of 3,000. Holloway made the call.

The 5 turn went check-check and the 7 landed on the river. Holloway led out for 4,000, which was enough to force Ayed to fold.
