Vodinh Sends McColl Packing with Turned Flush

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Diana Zhao opened to 2,100 from middle position and picked up two callers: Elpidio Dulay in middle position and Andrew Vodinh on the button. With a multi-way pot brewing, Evan McColl had other plans and moved all-in for about 12,000 from the blinds.

Zhao and Dulay quickly folded, but Vodinh — sitting behind a massive stack — made the call, putting McColl at risk.

Evan McColl: K5 All in
Andrew Vodinh: J9

The flop came 10K3, giving McColl top pair but giving Vodinh a flush draw. The A turn completed that flush, leaving McColl in need of help. The river 7 sealed the deal, eliminating McColl as Vodinh pulled in more chips to boost his stack further.

Smooth Sailing for Martinez

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Madeline Stone raised to 2,000 from early position over a limp from Greg Abes. Luis Martinez called from the button, and Abes completed the action with a call.

Three-way action on a flop JJ8. Abes checked, and Stone put a bet of 2,000 into play. Martinez called, and Abes released.

Stone decided to continue betting on a K turn, but unfortunately for her, Martinez thought 6,000 wasn't enough. He raised it to 16,000, and Stone found a fold.

Martinez has shown the ability to steadily build his stack through the early stages of this tournament. He has a massive 160,000 chip stack during the 1,000 big blind level.

Burnham's Aggression Pays Off

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jaeli Moron opened to 2,500 from middle position and received calls from Andrew Burnham in late position and Vincent Ikeh in the big blind, taking three players to the flop.

The dealer spread 36Q, and Ikeh checked. Moron followed up with a continuation bet of 3,300, prompting Burnham to fold. Ikeh, without hesitation, tossed in two 5,000 chips, putting the pressure back on Moron.

After tanking for a while and trying to piece together what Ikeh might be holding, Moron ultimately laid his hand down. Ikeh collected the pot.

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Tamara Hanna
Tamara Hanna

Tamara Hanna made it 3,000 to go from early position and only Jeremy Geist called from the blinds.

On the 3410 flop, Geist check-called a bet of 3,500 from Hanna.

Geist checked again on the 10 turn and Hanna fired a second barrel of 7,000. Geist check-raised to around 20,000 and Hanna quickly called.

The 8 dropped on the river and Geist bet 15,500. Hanna snap-called and Geist flipped over Q10 for trip tens. Hanna showed KxKx for a pair of kings, and the pot was sent over to Geist.
