Arani Dispatches Rizzo
Level 5
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Leo Rizzo raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and Mamad Arani defended from the big blind. The flop came A♣10♣8♥ and Arani checked to Rizzo who bet 12,000. Arani check-raised to 35,000 and Rizzo piled all in for just shy of 100,000. Arani quickly called and the cards were tabled.
Leo Rizzo: Q♣J♠
Mamad Arani: 10♠8♦
Arani flopped two pair but Rizzo was drawing live with a two-way straight draw. The 3♠ on the turn changed nothing and the 8♠ on the river improved Arani to a full house, eliminating Rizzo.
