Usterud Rivered Set Cracks Weng’s Bluff, Buzgon Busted
Stian Usterud opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 50,000. It folded around to Daniel Buzgon in middle position, who only had 5,000 behind and moved all in. Both blinds called the initial raise, and the three went to the flop.
The dealer spread 2♣K♦Q♣, and after both blinds checked, Usterud continued for 50,000. Only big blind Bin Weng made the call to see the turn.
The A♥ hit the felt, and Weng checked again. Usterud ramped up the pressure with a bet of 200,000, but Weng wasn't done yet and stuck around with a call.
The river brought the J♥, and this time Weng led out, jamming for about 530,000. Usterud took a moment before tossing in the call. Weng showed Q♥4♦ for just a pair of queens, but Usterud tabled J♦J♣ for a rivered set of jacks to win the pot. Buzgon quietly mucked and hit the rail.
