Yang Doubles with Kings Through Quinn
Level 23
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Stephen Graner got things started with a raise to 60,000 from the early position. Edward Quinn quickly responded with a three-bet to 180,000, and Zhi Yang came over the top with a four-bet to 345,000, leaving himself just 5,000 behind. Graner got out of the way, but Quinn made the call. He tossed in a 5,000 chip to cover the rest whilst the dealer tabled the flop, and Yang called for his all-in. The flop was dealt, and both hands were revealed.
Zhi Yang: K♥K♣
Edward Quinn: A♦Q♥
The board ran out Q♦6♥4♥9♥2♣, giving Quinn a pair of queens, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Yang’s pocket kings. Yang secured the double-up and stayed alive.
