Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #3: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

The four-day event gets underway at 12 p.m. local time. There will be 15-minute breaks every two levels, with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 6 (~6:30 p.m.)

The starting stack is 50,000 chips, and the plan for Day 1 is to play 10 levels. Levels are 60-minutes long, and Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29. Late registration is open for 12 levels and will shut at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Day 2.

Now in its second year, 2024’s inaugural event was won by Brent Hart who emerged victorious after defeating Eddie Ochana in heads-up play. Hart took home $660,284 for his victory in what he called a “sick field.”

“Every table, I was like, ‘Wait a minute’,” Hart told PokerNews. “And it was great because I was able to learn something every day. I was able to sit with seasoned players and pick up small nuances here and there, so it was a win-win."
