Riordan Edges Out Albrinck in Two Pair Showdown

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

PokerNews caught up with the action on a flop of K10Q and about 13,000 already in the middle. Brad Albrinck checked it over to John Riordan, who fired for 3,500. Albrinck responded with a raise to 12,000, which Riordan called without much hesitation.

Both players slowed down on the A turn, checking through with plenty of potential still on the board.

The river brought the 7, and after a brief pause, both players checked again.

Albrinck revealed K10 for two pair, but Riordan had him beat with AK for a better two pair. The pot slid Riordan’s way, neither player seemingly too thrilled with their hands by the end.
