Sotiropoulos Applies Pressure to Take It Down

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Renji Mao opened the action with a raise to 100,000 from under the gun, and Georgios Sotiropoulos was the only one to come along, defending his big blind.

The flop fell J10A, and both players opted to check.

When the 7 landed on the turn, Sotiropoulos seized the initiative with a bet of 275,000. Mao called after a brief pause.

The K river brought another strong bet from Sotiropoulos, this time for 550,000. Mao didn’t like what he saw and, after a moment of visible frustration, tossed his cards into the muck, conceding the pot.
