Chips Expected to Fly in Event #31: $800 No-Limit Hold'em DeepStack


Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.
Today sees the start of Event #31: $800 No-Limit Hold'em DeepStack here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This two-day event gets underway at 10 a.m. local time, with late registration open for 12 levels (approx 5 p.m.). There will be 20-minute breaks every four levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 16 (approx 7 p.m.).
The starting stack is 40,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play 22 30-minute levels. For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 and plays down to a winner.
Last year's event saw a field of 4,732 entries generate a prize pool of $3,331,328. The winner was TJ Murphy, who defeated Raymond Mancini heads-up to win $368,977 and his first WSOP bracelet.
After the win, Murphy described the moment as "ridiculous, euphoric," and that he was "on top of the world."
