Before the 2025 World Series of Poker started, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz were joined by Joey Ingram and Christina Gollins on the PokerNews Podcast to host the show's first-ever Fantasy Draft!
After reviewing the scoring system and choosing team names, a draft was conducted and the stakes were set. The owner of the worst team will buy the winning three teams a nice Las Vegas dinner. Plus, fans can choose which team they're rooting for, and if that team wins, they'll be entered into a random giveaway.
Who was drafted early? Who was put on the bench? And who wasn't drafted at all?

Players are on a 20-minute break.
Martin Kabrhel spent time in the aisle stretching to get his body ready before taking a seat in the tournament. He was also chewing gum, presumably to loosen up his jaws.
Bryden Baxter raised from the hijack to 5,000 and was re-raised by Murat Aras in the big blind for his 30,000 chip stack. Baxter made the call.
Murat Aras: K♥8♥
Bryden Baxter: Q♥Q♠
Baxter could not hold on the runout of K♦J♥5♣6♥6♦ and Aras found himself a crucial double-up with the blinds rising fast.
Nolan James is one of the youngest players at the WSOP, and the 21-year-old Floridian's tablemates won't let him forget it.
"He has a permission slip to be here," James Jones said.
Gabriel Kiflu added: "Yes, a permission slip from the principal."
The chatter hasn't kept James from being the chip leader at his table.
A poker player was given a one-round penalty deep in a 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) event for swearing at a floor manager after refusing to color up.
Tyler Brown, a 2023 bracelet winner, is the player in question. He wasn't frustrated following a bad beat. The penalized poker pro was among the chip leaders at the time in Event #28: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack with around 30 players remaining out of 1,499 entries on Monday.

Alon Journo raised from under the gun to 4,000, and was re-raised by Christopher Smith who went all-in as next to act for 20,500. Action folded to Changle Lin on the button who also went all-in for 8,000. In the big blind, Venkata Tayi went all in as well for 90,000, covering Journo. Journo folded and the players were off to see five with two at risk.
Christopher Smith: K♣Q♣
Changle Lin: 10♥10♣
Venkata Tayi: 9♥9♦
Before the players could see the flop of Q♥9♠2♣ the nine ball was in the window, and the runout of K♠7♠ was not enough to save one of the at-risk players. Tayi with the double KO secured a chipstack of 130,000.
