Roser Topples Gathy
Level 6
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jack Roser raised it up on the button and Michael Gathy reraised to 60,000 from the small blind. Roser just called and the dealer spread the flop of K♣K♦Q♣. Gathy led out with a bet of 35,000 and Roser still called.
The turn was the 10♥ and Gathy slid out a bet of 110,000. Roser quickly called again and the A♠ hit the river. Gathy made a small bet of just 50,000 and Roser jammed all in as the bigger stack.
Gathy used a time bank before calling off the additional 160,000, only to have Roser show Q♠Q♦ for a full house. Gathy was left with A♣J♦ for a straight and was bounced from the tournament.
