Yoon Knocked Out
Level 22
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Brian Yoon made the all-but-one-in move for 280,000 chips, holding onto his last red chip worth 5,000. Luis Yepez Carmona, who had a little over 300,000 chips in his stack gave a prolonged study of the board 2♦5♣K♣10♥Q♥.
Eventually, the clocked was called and midway through the 30-second countdown, Carmona made the call.
Yoon showed A♦3♦ for an ace-high bluff. Carmona let out a yelp, then turned over K♣9♣.
Yoon, a five-time WSOP bracelet winner, was immediately forced to toss in his lone remaining chip, as he was in the big blind the next hand. Genady Mayzel was the opponent.
Brian Yoon: K♠J♣
Genady Mayzel: A♣J♦
Yoon hit a king on the flop, but the complete runout 6♠7♦K♦Q♦4♦ gave Mayzel a flush and the knockout.
