2025 World Series of Poker
Eric Yanovsky raised to 160,000 from the hijack, Matthew Radcliffe called from the cutoff, and Remy Murcia re-raised from the small blind to 650,000. Yanovsky folded and Radcliffe called.
On the Q♣10♣8♦ flop, Murcia bet 325,000 and was called by Radcliffe.
The turn came the 5♥, Murcia bet 750,000, and Radcliffe folded.
Ryan Law raised from middle position to 160,000, and the cutoff three-bet to 420,000. Ryan Plant in the big blind then four-bet to 1,150,000. Law folded and the cutoff went into the tank before he announced all in for 3,685,000. Plant called.
Cutoff: Q♠Q♦
Ryan Plant: J♣J♥
The flop of 3♦6♣8♣ was pretty safe for the cutoff, but then the 3♣ came on the turn, and things took a turn for the worse. The A♣ peeled off on the river to make Plant a four-flush and send his opponent packing in a brutal manner.
Lejdin Fazlibegu raised to 160,000 from middle position. Cody Brinn then went all in and was at risk for 645,000. The rest of the table folded, and Fazlibegu stuck in the call.
Cody Brinn: A♦A♠
Lejdin Fazlibegu: J♠J♦
The dealer showed the players a board of 9♦6♥10♦3♦Q♠, adding a nice boost of chips to Brinn's stack.
Ashish Gupta opened to 160,000 from middle position. Thomas Taylor in the big blind three-bet all-in for 860,000 and Gupta called.
Thomas Taylor: A♣10♠
Ashish Gupta: A♥K♣
Taylor found no help on a board of 8♦3♥4♠6♣7♣ and gave his full stack to Gupta.
The action was picked up on a board of 4♠4♣5♣A♦ with roughly 880,000 in the pot.
Michael Burke in the hijack moved all-in for 1,625,000 and William Boucher in the big blind snap-called.
Michael Burke: Q♥J♠
William Boucher: 4♥4♦
Burke ran into quads. He was slightly covered, so he was eliminated after the J♣ river.
Ashish Gupta raised to 160,000 from the cutoff and was re-raised by Michael Ruane, sitting on the button, to 460,000. Gupta called.
The flop came Q♦J♠10♦ and both players checked.
On the 3♣ turn, Gupta check-called the 600,000 chip bet from Ruane.
The Q♥ river was followed by two checks. Gupta showed K♠10♠ which was no good versus the K♥K♣ from Ruane.
Playing the $250,000 Super High Roller turned out to be a bad bet for Sean Perry.
The self-proclaimed sports betting guru arrived on Monday to enter Day 2 of the largest buy-in tournament at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). He lost all of his chips about five minutes after he sat down. But he'll have an opportunity to win it all back soon (or lose more).
Alli Mallu opened from middle position, Joseph Choueiri to his left three-bet all-in, Haven Taylor jammed as well from the next seat and Quy Dao, seated in the big blind, called for his last 735,000.
Joseph Choueiri: 4♥4♣
Haven Taylor: Q♠Q♦
Quy Dao: 9♥7♣
Alli Mallu: J♦J♥
The dealer fanned a board of K♥5♠8♦6♥2♥, giving an improbable straight on the turn to Dao who sent the two shortest stacks to the rail.
