After a heavy-hitting Day 2, the best in the world will continue to raise the bar here at the 2025 World Series of Poker during Day 3 of Event #38: $100,000 High Roller in Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. We have gone from 103 entries down to the current eight remaining that have made up the final table for this event, and on Day 3 we will see a champion crowned.
These eight have done something truly incredible to fight for their share of the $9,939,500 prize pool. However, any of these competitors who want to claim the title of champion, collect their $2,649,158 first-place prize, and this event’s WSOP bracelet will have to buckle up for a bumpy ride because the hard work has just begun.
Aram Oganyan leads the way in chips with 20,425,000, but has WSOP bracelet winner and 72nd on the all-time money list Joao Vieira close behind him with 13,600,000. Vieira has shown that he is built for events exclusive to the top players in the world; with a plethora of very strong finishes in tournaments with six-figure buy-ins, including a win in a $150,000 buy-in earlier this year for a whopping $4,610,000.
Unfortunately for Vieira, he is among the very select few who can say their resume stands up to his. With well over $100,000,000 in earnings combined throughout the other competitors, including ninth on the all-time money list Isaac Haxton, two-time GPI Player of the Year winner Thomas Boivin, and 42nd on the all-time money list Andrew “LuckyChewy” Lichtenberger, who is coming off a second in the WSOP’s latest high roller less than a week ago for a prize of $1,312,610.

With the WSOP creating a beautiful structure for this event, even the shortest stacks are in the hunt. They could easily jump through the chip rankings and find themselves leading after only one of the 60-minute levels the players will be playing. Currently, nobody has less than 15 big blinds coming back to the 125,000/250,000 level. It is truly anybody’s game.
As of now, the players have secured $295,883, and that number will only grow as chips begin to fly. In regards to both the level and payout side of the structure, this event is a dream for both competitors and viewers alike.

Aram Oganyan raised to 500,000 on the button with 10♦6♦ and Vinny Lingham defended from the big blind with A♣4♦. The flop came 9♥5♦3♣ and Lingham checked to Oganyan who slid out a bet of 750,000. Lingham folded the best hand with a straight draw and Oganyan collected the first post-flop pot.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is having a monster summer at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), arguably the best he's ever performed in live poker tournaments.
The online poker legend entered Day 2 on Friday with the chip lead in Event #41: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship. He's battling against some other poker superstars, including Daniel Negreanu, Joe McKeehen, and Jeremy Ausmus.

Joao Vieira raised to 500,000 on the button with A♦5♣ and Isaac Haxton called in the big blind holding 10♦7♦. The flop came Q♥8♦7♥ and Haxton check-called a bet of 350,000 from Vieira.
The turn brought the 2♥ and both players checked to the J♦ on the river. Haxton checked one more time and Vieira gave up by checking it back. Haxton scooped the pot with just a pair of sevens and climbed from the bottom of the chip counts.

On a flop of K♥Q♥9♣, Vieira check-folded to the 375,000 chip bet from Oganyan.
A few hands later, Thomas Boivin raised from middle position to 575,000 holding A♦J♠ and was called by Oganyan in the big blind holding A♣8♣.
The flop came 9♥5♣3♣, Oganyan led out 500,000, and Boivin called.
On the 2♣ turn, Oganyan bet once again, this time for 825,000, which won him the pot.
