Negreanu Wins Two in a Row; Simao Eliminated

Level 15
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Hand 1:

Chris Hunichen opened the button and Daniel Negreanu put in a third bet from the big blind. Hunichen called.

The A6J scrolled across and Negreanu continued. Hunichen called.

Negreanu check-called the Q turn.

The 10 completed the board and Negreanu checked. Hunichen pushed out a bet and Negreanu raised.

"I suck, man... I flopped two pair. I knew I should have checked."

Hunichen spent some time in the blender and eventually folded A6 face up.

"Good fold?" he asked and Negreanu told him he had AxKx for the rivered straight.

Hand 2:

The very next hand, Joao Simao raised from middle position and Negreanu put a third bet in preflop. Simao responded with a fourth bet and Negreanu called.

The dealer presented the AQ4 and Negreanu check-called.

The turn brought the 6 and Negreanu took the initiative with a bet. Simao called.

The river completed with the 4 and Negreanu bet again. Simao called for less and saw the bad news Negreanu showed 1010 for the ten-high flush. Simao tabled his AK in defeat, leaving the tournament area.
