Ray Flops a Straight to Survive

Level 16
Kyle Ray
Kyle Ray

David Lieberman raised from under the gun, and Daniel Negreanu three-bet from the button. Kyle Ray then moved all in for 20,000 from the big blind. Lieberman called Negreanu’s raise, creating a side pot.

The flop came 869. Lieberman led out, and Negreanu made the call. Both players then checked the Q turn leading to the 3 river that Lieberman checked.

Believing Negreanu had checked back, Lieberman exposed his 55. However, Negreanu hadn’t acted yet. He eventually checked back with KJ, conceding the side pot to Lieberman.

Ray, who was all in, tabled 107 for a flopped straight and scooped the main pot, secured a triple-up.
