Veerachai Vongxaiburana had retaken the chip lead with a series of small pots until he checked his option after Phil Hui limped the button.

Both players checked the 7♦A♠6♥ flop. Vongxaiburana then bet 400,000 on the 2♦ turn, and Hui came back with a raise to 1,850,000. Vongxaiburana folded.

Vongxaiburana sized up to 700,000, producing a fold from Hui.

Another unopened pot followed on the next hand, with both players checking the J♥K♠3♥ flop. Vongxaiburana led out from the big blind for 500,000, and Hui called.

Vongxaiburana fired again on the 6♣ river, this time for 800,000. Hui did not take long to get his hand go, as Vongxaiburana raked in another pot.

In a limped pot, Veerachai Vongxaiburana bet 400,000 from the big blind on a board of 8♥8♣6♦5♥ and Phil Hui called.

The river was the 10♦ and Vongxaiburana bet another 1,000,000. Hui again called and Vongxaiburana showed K♥10♠8♦7♠3♠ for a full house and low to scoop the pot.

The next hand, Hui bet 400,000 from the big blind on a board of 5♣5♠4♣Q♦ and Vongxaiburana called.

The K♣ fell on the river and Hui bet 1,500,000. Vongxaiburana folded this time.

The turn was the 2♦ and Vongxaiburana bet another 400,000. Hui again called to the 6♠ river, where Vongxaiburana bet 1,000,000. Hui then announced pot and Vongxaiburana snap-called.

Hui showed K♦Q♥9♣5♣3♦ for a low, while Vongxaiburana had nines full of deuces to chop the pot.

A few hands later, both players checked to the turn on a board of 9♣2♦Q♠5♥ when Vongxaiburana bet 400,000 from the button. Hui called and the river was the 7♦.

Vongxaiburana then bet 1,000,000 and Hui raised to 4,500,000. Vongxaiburana quickly called once more with K♠J♣6♥8♦4♦ for a straight, while Hui had A♣7♠5♠3♦2♠ to chop another pot.

Vongxaiburana checked to Hui, who fired 400,000. The call was made to see the 2♣ river, where Vongxaiburana checked one last time. Hui announced a bet of 1,700,000.

Vongxaiburana replied by announcing pot, raising enough to put his opponent all in. After counting his remaining stack, Hui opted to let his hand go, and Vongxaiburana added to his lead.

Both players opted to check the 2♥J♥Q♠ flop before Vongxaiburana led out for 400,000 on the 10♣ turn.

Hui called to see the 5♠ river, where Vongxaiburana checked. Hui fired a bet of 300,000, only to be check-raised to 1,300,000 by Vongxaiburana.

Hui made the quick call.

"Good call," Vongxaiburana said as Hui tabled A♥Q♦9♣9♦6♦ for top pair. That was enough to take over the chip lead as Vongxaiburana mucked.
